Multidisciplinary and participatory installation offering an original and unusual reading of a popular story: a diversion of The Conference of the Birds from the iranian poet Farid al-din Attar (12th century). Visitors are invited to reinterpret the elements of the traditional story and have an individual reflection on questions. Each viewer is questioned on his/her place between the winners and losers of the story, with the figure of the bird as a reflection of an existential quest.

Unspoken Words of Shirin
Interrogation of a Persian love story, 2018
Musée d’Art Contemporain – Marseille (MAC) Exhibition Quel Amour!?, curator: Eric Corne
The installation Unspoken Words of Shirin refers to a famous book of Persian poetry from the 12th century, Khosrow and Shirin, by Nizāmi (1141-1209). Set in the sixth century, Nizāmi’s verses narrate the love trio of Shirin and her two suitors Khosrow and Farhād. Unspoken Words of Shirin questions Nizāmi’s poem and offers a reinvention of the story through an inner monologue of Shirin.
